The Deep was very fascinating, but it was only when we were heading to the exit that I discovered my favourite part: a sawfish up-close.
I really enjoyed the trip, but I was slightly scared of getting up-close to the tank on the way out because of the height and not being able to see the glass. I would definitely suggest having a look at the jellyfish exhibit, especially the nursery! Also, drop by at the penguin exhibits; have a look at the chart and see if you can figure out who’s who. If you have a child, maybe visit the drawing station and make your own sea creature. Want a challenge? Try and spot the stone-coloured wolf eel!
The staff members seemed friendly, but we only met a couple. To my surprise, the bathrooms were extremely clean. The tables and chairs in the picnic area were tidy, but the purple paint was harsh.
I would recommend The Deep for the whole family. It’s mostly ramps and the only stairs are for entering and exiting the exhibit area if you don’t want to use the lift. This makes it easy for pushchairs, scooters and wheelchairs. Have fun!
