An Amazing Adventure to Revive a Lost Clan

This Warrior Cats’ Super Edition is written by New York Times new best selling author, Erin Hunter. Unlike the series, Firestar’s Quest is a standalone novel.

Firestar, leader of ThunderClan, starts having visions of mysterious cats—one in particular, a grey and white tom. He soon learns of the lost clan, who need his help. After setting out on a dangerous journey with his mate (Sandstorm), Firestar is challenged to rebuild SkyClan by Sky, the only descendent of the fifth clan who remembers the clan and the Warrior Code. However, if SkyClan found a new home, how were they scattered?

My favourite character is Firestar, the protagonist, because despite his loyalty to Thunderclan, he follows his beliefs: that helping SkyClan is the right thing to do. Firestar appears in the original series at a very young age, where he already displays his loyalty to ThunderClan.

The revival of Skyclan is a story of making up for past mistakes and good defeating deadly enemies. When SkyClan’s home was destroyed, the other clans drove them out, but now Firestar is rebuilding SkyClan and guiding them through an old enemy. SkyClan is guided by the Warrior Code and a will to protect their clanmates, while the rats are driven by a greed for territory.

I like how more information is steadily revealed and how the Redstar, Swiftstar, Birchstar and Dawnstar, who were the leaders of the four clans when SkyClan was driven out, come to give SkyClan’s new leader four of her nine lives. I would recommend this book to 7+ year olds who like cats, action and adventure.
