Hold on to your hats, not your wellies. The Megaton Welly-Throwing Competition is coming to take our town by storm. This exciting event is taking place at Giga Park on 25th August and features a town picnic and…well…welly-throwing.
We can all agree that books and films are best in trilogies. But did you know that welly-throwing competitions also make a good trilogy? Our competition will feature three thrilling tournaments. The day will start with the kid’s competition followed swiftly by the teens and finally the adults.
Warning: tip incoming! We suggest that kids and teens use wellies they have recently outgrown. This will save you from having to get your new wellies dirty straight away.
Wait, aren’t wellies meant to get dirty?
Yes, but it still gives you a chance yo use your old wellies one last time.
After the event, kids and teens can give outgrown wellies to the town for the next competition (unless you all form an angry mob demanding this event never happens again). But why do we want your old wellies? We are going to supply free wellies for those who don’t have any they can use. However, we suggest adults don’t use toddler wellies. While you could create a welly rocket, no one else would stand a chance at winning the Golden Well Trophy. Forget I said that.
