Bonfire Night Events

At 7:15 pm on Friday, 4th November, members of the public attended the fireworks display at North Anston Recreational Field. This was to celebrate Bonfire Night.

At the display, there were many people, ranging from young members of the public to old people and families.

The bonfire, that was lit at 6:15, emitted burning sparks. The bonfire illuminated the surrounding area with a lava-like glow.

On the night of the display, the weather was extremely clear. This was perfect for the fireworks. During the event and the wait, popular music was played. One of the several songs was ‘Space Man’ by Sam Ryder.

The firework trails were trackable and the higher they went the bigger the explosion. As well as the usual rockets, there were fireworks that looked like shooting stars and did not explode, and spiralling ones that looked like snakes. The fireworks produced a rainbow of colours—including blue, gold, green, red and white.

A local boy, who saw the fireworks, stated: “My favourite fireworks were the green ones. I also enjoyed the ones that looked like shooting stars.”
