In this classic fantasy by Roald Dahl, a little girl called Sophie is captured by the BFG or Big Friendly Giant. The giant takes her to his cave in Giant Country and they become friends. Unlike the other giants, the BFG does not eat humans. Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant hatch a plan to stop the bloodthirsty giants, which includes meeting the Queen of England!
My favourite character is the BFG because he talks funny, for example, he says, “I is the BFG.” I also like him because he has big ears, which he uses to catch dreams. My favourite parts are when the evil giants are carried away by helicopters, put in a hole and fed snozzcumbers because it is funny to imagine the giants being so helpless, even though they are big and strong. In general I really liked the book including giants. I would definitely like to see more books with giants.
I would have liked the BFG to make poems because then it would be even more funny.
I would recommend this book to 6-year-olds and older because younger children might find the giants too scary.
