Bo’s Sonnet

My favourite basset hound is called Bo.
He’s extremely good for a five-month-old.
When he is naughty I think: Oh no!
I always think that he’s as precious as gold.

When he stares with his glistening bronze eyes.
He is the cutest puppy in the world.
Possessing attention is what he tries;
After we had a snuggle Bo uncurled.

He is a high-spirited circus clown.
My puppy’s a never-ending rainbow:
Bobo has a coat of white, black and brown;
Brown and black are the freckles of Bobo.

Just like the softest warm bread and butter,
We’re going to be best friends forever.
