Animals

Birds

We heard geese migrating as loud as ever. Their formation was the letter V.

Invertebrates

Under some logs we found a flat back millipede, a common pill woodlouse, a common striped woodlouse, and a shiny black beetle that was 5mm which we were unable to identify.

Fungi

The polypore fungi is partly eaten and we can see a snail or slug trail leading to the piece of fungi that has been eaten. Judging by the size of the trail, we believe it is a snail trail.

A photo showing the polypore with a white trail going round the edge.
