River Don Walk

Going through Sprotbrough Flash Nature Reserve, we went to the canal.

When we got to the end of the canal, we saw how boats get into the river: The boats go through a gate that then closes. Then, the water gets pumped out until the water is level with the river. Now the second gate opens and the boats go through.

Today, we went through the field where we saw the cows on our Don Bridge walk and went over the bridge we went on during our Don Bridge walk after the field. We kept taking the wrong path, but it made it more of an adventure! Eventually, we found the right path and got back to the woods.
