On Thursday, we finished the second batch of “Rocks, Soils and Fossils”. I wrote about what I think makes the soils different in our woods. The title of my work is Woodland Soils. Here is my work:
Woodland Soils
Today, we looked at three soils, from our woods. All of the soils were the same, except for the layers of sediment.
The soil from Cobble and Tawny was dark brown; but the soil from Tumble was light brown.
I believe that more rock and less dead living things were used to make the soil in Tumble because the rock from the three woods was the same colour.
