Material Wrap-up

First, we learnt about two material properties: flexible and rigid. Flexible means things are bendy. Rigid means that something isn’t bendy.

A picture board full of different objects, and eight purple cards and seven yellow cards of material properties.
Connect four game

Next, we played a connect four game where we needed to get four of our material properties in a row. I won!

Woods

At the woods, we cleared out the dormouse nesting boxes, and there were woodlice and snails inside.

Technology

I went on code.org and ran some code to make Waddles, the penguin, go faster and hit the octopus. Also, I made the background change when the game ran.

A screen capture showing a blue octopus, green dragon and Waddles. Over to the right, there is some code saying that when actor 1 touches actor 2, actor 1 says, "ouch!"

Octopus ouch!
