Matilda
In Matilda, this week, we read a chapter called “Throwing the Hammer”, and I read two pages.
A girl called Hortensia told Lavender and Matilda about The Trunchbull. The Trunchbull throws children because she used to throw the hammer in the Olympic games.
We watched a video about the Olympics, and I answered some questions about the Olympic rings.
Maths
I practised counting backwards, counting forwards, taking away, adding and putting numbers in order.
Science
I learnt about how my body breaks down food and put the things that happen in order.
Technology
The main activity, in Scratch, was making some sprites hide and show in different scenes of Fish School.
In Code, I finished Course A and got a certificate.
Food Web Play
I wrote scene 3 of the play.
Then, I drew backdrop 3.
Afterwards, I sewed a mule deer.
In the picture below, there is a pronghorn next to the deer.
Art and Music
In piano, I practised the song called “Lullaby for Mo” and finished off with the piece of music that I wrote.
We finished off the pronghorn and mule deer, by putting the eyes on them. All the puppets in the set are now finished.
On Monday, we baked some yummy butterfly buns.
