Matilda

In the book, Matilda got angry because the mother and father didn’t believe she could do maths; they thought she had looked at the answer. Matilda put some of Mrs Wormwood’s hair dye into Mr Wormwood’s hair tonic.

This week, I finished writing up ‘The Invisible Rope’, in best. Then, I started writing a new chapter for Matilda which is about a scary cave.

Maths

In maths, I learnt about fractions. First, I made some Play-Doh sausages and circles, and I cut them into halves and quarters.

Next, I had to fill in a sheet about fractions, and I even made up my own.

Science

We investigated ice lollies melting to see which one would melt first and which one would melt last. The ice lolly on the shelf outside melted first because it was warmer outside, so the ice lolly had more heat energy.

Computing

On Code, I helped the collector to get the treasure.

On Scratch, I animated a character and made it sing.

At the Woods

I was learning about food chains, but I asked if one of the animals in the food chain would eat something else in a different food chain. So, we ended up learning about food webs as well.
