Reusing

We are trying to use as least plastic as possible, but we have to get our milk in plastic containers. Mum saved two plastic bottles.

We used the first to make a house for my cuddly, Dotty. First, Mum cut a hole in it so I can put Dotty in.

Then, I put Dotty in to see how he looked in it. I took him out.

Next, we stuck some leopard and tiger tissue paper on the bottle. Mum did the gluing, while I put the paper on.

Mum put the bottle on its lid to dry. Then, she used the hair dryer to speed up the process.

Finally, Mum put some fabric bedding in the bottle.

We used the second to make a food holder for people to eat from.

We used the lid to make a necklace for Mum’s birthday. First, I stuck some white tissue paper on it. While Mum was finishing off sticking tissue paper on it, I made my design plan for the top.

I painted the yellow watercolour on the top of the lid.

I made my design plan for the bottom.

Next, I finished my colouring with the watercolours. Then, to finish off the lid, I used a special paint to put on some details. While Mum started drying it, I got out the beads we needed.

While Mum held the lid, I put the beads on the necklace.
