Matilda

In the book, this week, we found out more about Matilda’s father. Matilda is going to get her own back on her mother and father when they get angry with her.

I wrote an acrostic poem about Mr Wormwood, who is Matilda’s father.

Maths

I had a challenge to find out which pot has the biggest capacity. I used a measuring jug and measuring cylinders to measure how much water each pot can hold.

Computing

On Tuesday, on Code, I helped a harvester pick lots of corn.

On Scratch, I finished the chase game. I wrote the code for the fish. Next, I told the shark to make a snapping sound all the time it’s touching the fish. Finally, I made the shark get points while it’s touching the fish.

Science

This week, we did the last observation for the daffodil because its stem has bent.

Also, we recorded the observations for the weather station, and I made an acrostic poem for the title page of the weather book.

I learnt about the words evaporation and condensation. Inside the terrarium the plant is growing but we aren’t giving it water! This is because the water from the soil and leaves evaporates and then condenses back into a liquid.
